Carolina was born in Medellin, Colombia.  She has lived in the Seattle area since she was 8 years old. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Theoretical Math.  She got married and became a certified Wedding and Event Planner in 2010. In 2012 she gave birth to her little hero and angel,  who has Pfeiffer Syndrome Type 1. Currently she is a certified Refit Revolution dance instructor, artist, an actress, and the Founder/CEO/President of ‘BORN A HERO, Pfeiffer’s Health and Social Issues Awareness’ nonprofit organization. Most importantly she is a stay at home mom and all her life revolves around her faith.  Her hobbies include being with her family, volunteering and giving back to the community, singing, dancing, painting, traveling, experiencing different cultures, playing volleyball, basketball, tennis, rock climbing, surfing, hiking, watching movies, playing the guitar, and being immersed in nature.

Dr. Jabs is the Vise Chair of the Department of Genetic and Genomic Sciences at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She is also a Professor of Pediatrics and Professor of Developmental and Regenerative Biology  and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Before: She was a Professor at John Hopkins School of Medicine of Pediatric Genetics, She was the Director of Craniofacial Development and Disorders, and the Director of International Collaborative Genetics Research Training Program. Dr. Jabs works and has worked with many successful nonprofits on Medical Trials, among so many other things she does. Dr. Jabs is on BORN A HERO's Medical Board and will be our lead researcher

    Margaret Graham

    Musical Instructor & Performer

    Lauren Kulesa recently began her Master’s degree in Voice Performance at the University of Washington.  This fall, she was an Encouragement Award Winner at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and also performed her first Master’s Recital featuring the works of female composers. She loves singing all types of music but is working toward a career in Opera.
